Removal of PFAS from Industrial Wastewater

BIOWAVE (UAntwerpen) en LIWET (UGent) launch a project to study and evalute (combinations) of existing technologies to remove PFAS from industrial wastewater streams, including membrane filtration. Membrane fouling is a reported issue when filtering PFAS. A-membranes’ grafting technology sticks an organic layer on the active surface of ceramic membranes. We tailor the membrane to repell onwanted molecules from the membrane surface and minimize flux decline due to fouling.
A-membranes is looking forward to work with the teams of Jan Dries (UA) en Stijn Van Hulle (UGent). The project is funded by the Flemish authorities (VLAIO) and tby the participating industrial partners.
